Information We Collect
Cotumo does not send your timer records or settings to the developer's servers. The app does not ask for your name, email address, or location.
Only if you allow it in the app, we send usage data to improve the app: which features you use (such as starting and finishing timers) and information about your device (such as its model, OS, and language). It is sent with an ID the app creates, so data sent from the same device is linked together.
Timer names and record contents are never sent. Because events are sent with the time they occurred, the times you started and finished a measurement can be seen. The data is sent to PostHog (PostHog Inc.), hosted on servers in the EU (Germany).
You can choose whether to share this data after you finish your first measurement, and stop anytime under Usage Data in Settings. Once you stop, no new usage data is collected. Data collected before you stopped and data already sent are not deleted.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your timer records (start and end times) and app settings, such as timers, alarms, and display, are stored on your device.
If you use the home screen widget, summary values for display are saved to an area shared between the app and its widget on your device.
Notifications and Alarms
Timer notifications and alarms are scheduled on your device. No information is sent to external servers to schedule them.
Sharing with Third Parties
We do not share or sell your records or settings to third parties. The app does not use advertising tools.
PostHog is used for usage analytics only if you allow it. We require PostHog to protect your data at the same level as this policy.
Retention and Deletion
You can delete records and timers in the app. Deleting a timer also deletes all of its past records. Data deleted in the app can't be restored. Deleting the app removes its data from your device.
If device backups (such as iCloud Backup) are turned on, your data may be included in those backups.
Because shared usage data does not include your name or similar information, it can't be identified and deleted per person. PostHog keeps it for one year.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its last updated date.
Website and Email Inquiries
This website has no contact forms, advertising, or analytics tags. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the website. Your in-app records are not sent to this website.
We use the email address and information you send us to reply to and handle your inquiry. Email sent to our support address is received through Cloudflare Email Routing, and email is handled through Gmail (Google). Please share personal records and personal information only as needed.
